About YSH
Youth Service Hawai‘i began in 1996 with the idea of preparing students for their role as citizens of Hawai'i and the world. Today Youth Service Hawai‘i is a 501(c)(3) corporation, serving educators across the state with service-learning resources.
Mission
Youth Service Hawai'i's mission is to strengthen communities across the State by connecting teachers, students, and community organizations through service and civic learning that builds both student and community resilience. We support the development of lasting partnerships and infrastructure that enable schools and communities to learn, serve, and thrive together.
Vision
Youth Service Hawai'i envisions thriving communities where service-learning serves as a catalyst for both youth development and community resilience. Through service-learning and civic engagement, we see youth and educators as essential contributors to community strength, working alongside community members to create positive, sustainable change across our islands.
